Light Art takes us back to the beginning of the image itself. Without it we would not see, so therefore is fundamental to the discipline.
Artists such as James Turrell, Olafur Eliasson and Yayoi Kusama, Nancy Holt and Tim Noble and Sue Websters work, inspired us to create our own light installations.
Using nature as our medium we learned how to use light, through our sculptures and how simply creating a frame captures light itself. Once framed the image and the light takes on new meaning. We stop, look and even listen to the image.
It was a very important project to try and slow down, reflect and admire the world around us.
